About Me.

I’m Abigail Richardson, a senior at NC State University from Wilmington, NC, pursuing a public relations and marketing career. Currently, I serve as a public relations/marketing intern for the North Carolina National Guard Association, where I develop impactful communication strategies.

My experiences include creating an in-depth case study on Dove’s Real Beauty Campaign, a press release for my organization, a marketing advertisement, research data collection while studying abroad in Prague during the summer of 2024, and working on innovative nonprofit advocacy projects. I’m passionate about storytelling, inclusivity, and building connections that inspire change.

Post-graduation, I hope to continue contributing to the NCNGA and further advancing my career in public relations and marketing.

Education and Experience

2021-2025

Communications Degree, with a concentration in Public Relations

North Carolina State University

Pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and Communication at North Carolina State University, with an expected graduation in May 2025. Academic achievements include Dean's List recognition in Fall 2023 and a study abroad experience in Prague, Czech Republic. As an active member of Delta Gamma Sorority, I engage in leadership and community initiatives. My coursework focuses on Public Relations Writing and Case Studies, equipping me with practical skills and industry insights to excel in strategic communication.

September 2024 - Current

North Carolina National Guard Association

As an intern, I create customized marketing materials, curate engaging content, and enhance social media presence to boost awareness and engagement. I assist with planning successful product launches and PR events, analyze key metrics, and contribute to the blog, newsletter, and website, helping strengthen the association’s brand and outreach.
